Wow - you are bold putting "The List" up there like that. Ours has been under lock and key these last 9 months. I can see that Q is still pushing for Ryan. She suggested that one to me. I trust you've seen the Most Popular Names of 2006 list?

yeah, you know I've really never felt a need to keep it a big secret - truth is, we really don't give a rats ass what people think. I just thought it would be fun and it turns out to be such a trip to see what's gaining the popular vote. I would have never thought. I just wish I knew who voted for what. I have a good friend named Ryan, but I'm not going to tell her her name is loosing. I've seen the popular name list and again I don't give a rats ass... My first one's name is Jacob after all. :-)

Aren't all these names going to screw up the J symmetry of the family?

I voted for Abigail, but I love the name Eleanor, too. I like the nicknames Abby and Elly. Here here to disregarding the list--if you like the name, who cares if it's original? It's better than naming your kid Bjaisrk or something just to be "different."

question: "Aren't all these names going to screw up the J symmetry of the family?"

answer: yes.

are you sure you want to break the jblock? i'll admit that i voted several times for every name other than a particular name that had been the initial front runner. i have "issues."
